Semifinals for Rebels at USTA/ITA Regionals

AUBURN, Ala. - For the fourth time in the last five years, the Ole Miss Men's Tennis team will have a singles semifinalist and a doubles semifinalist at the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships.
Junior Stefan Lindmark will play in the singles semifinals at 9 a.m. Sunday, followed by teammates William Kallberg and Gustav Hansson in the doubles semifinals at 1 p.m.
"Stefan is continuing to play convincing tennis and is looking very strong right now," head coach Toby Hansson said. "I am pleased with the way our doubles teams competed today. William and Gustav did some really good things in the afternoon match that they can build on."
Lindmark cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 win against LSU's Boris Arias in the quarterfinals Saturday morning at the Yarbrough Tennis Center. He has yet to drop a set in any of his matches this weekend. Lindmark will face Maxime Hinnasdaels of Auburn in the semifinals.
Following the singles, the Rebels took to the courts in the afternoon with three doubles teams in the fourth round. William Kallberg and Gustav Hansson defeated Hannisdaels and Joseph Van Dooren of Auburn 8-4 and then followed up with an 8-5 win against Constantin Schmitz and Dominik Kopefer of Tulane in the quarterfinals to reach their first final four in a tournament together.
Kallberg and Hansson will meet Mississippi State's Florian Lakat and Julian Cash in the semifinals Sunday at 1 p.m. This marks the second year in a row for Kallberg to be in the doubles semifinals, as he teamed with Lindmark to win the title last year.
Also competing together for the first time this year, Joe Rogers and Zvonimir Babic won their fourth round doubles match 8-5 against Rashib Agarwal and Robin Haden of MSU, before dropping their quarterfinal match to Lukas Ollert and Marko Krickovic (Auburn) 8-3.
