OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss added a talented duo of players at the start of the fall singing period, including a top-150 high school player and a top junior college scorer, head coach Andy Kennedy announced Friday.

Rasheed Brooks and Terence Davis both signed national letters of intent to join the Rebels for the 2015-16 academic year.

A native of Mansfield, Ohio, Brooks averaged 12.5 points and 4.0 rebounds a game last year for Southwest Tennessee Community College, where he started 27 games as a freshman. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard shot nearly 43 percent from behind the arc in his first season with the Saluqis and ranks 20th nationally among JUCO players and seventh among JUCO shooting guards, according to 247 Sports. He was named the best JUCO player in the state of Tennessee.

Brooks averaged 17.5 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds a game as a senior at Lexington High School where he earned all-district, Associated Press first team All-Northwest, first team All-Ohio Cardinal Conference and third team All-Ohio honors. He chose Ole Miss over Auburn and West Virginia.

"Rasheed is a long, athletic wing who can really extend a defense with his ability to shoot the basketball," Kennedy said. "He also has a very good understanding of how to play the game, which gives him a chance to immediately contribute to our program next season."

Davis, a 6-4 shooting guard out of Southaven, Mississippi, is rated the No. 127 player nationally by Rivals.com. As a junior, he averaged 21 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals per game on the hardwood, while garnering first team 6A All-District honors and was selected to play in the Mississippi All-Star game.

A preseason Dandy Dozen selection by the Clarion-Ledger, Davis stared for the nationally renowned grassroots basketball program Team Thad. He led Team Thad to several tournament championships throughout the spring and summer. A tremendous athlete, Davis also stars at wide receiver for Southaven High School, who begins state playoff action this week. Davis chose Ole Miss over Cincinnati, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

"T.D. is a big time athlete, who has the ability to play either wing position," Kennedy said. "His physical attributes, coupled with his high-intensity approach, give him a real chance to make an immediate impact in our program."

Kennedy and the Rebels tip off the 2014-15 season Friday at 6 p.m. against Charleston Southern at the Tad Smith Coliseum.
