On the game…
"It was mission accomplished for us. It was a dress rehearsal, and we got a lot of guys a lot of minutes. Jarvis (Summers) has been nursing a high-ankle sprain, and he's only been back about a week. He played better and started getting a little pop back. I was able to play a lot of the new guys a lot of minutes. Unfortunately Dwight (Coleby) twisted his ankle, which is why he didn't reenter the game. We did some things that we can learn from in preparation for our opener in a few days."
On different lineups playing together…
"That's something you hope you can get with an experienced team. My expectation for this group is very high as it relates to attention to detail. We saw some of that tonight."
On defending…
"We're more athletic. (Stefan) Moody on the ball is a difference-maker because he's so quick and disruptive. (Martavious) Newby is now a junior with a better understanding of angles. Anthony (Perez) gives a different look with his length. Terence Smith is a lot like Jarvis. He's very steady and had a very workman's like performance tonight. We just have a lot of different pieces we can mix and match."
