OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss rifle team added to the future with the signing of Michaela Musselman and Harley Gardner this fall, head coach Valerie Boothe announced Friday. Both will join the program in the fall of 2015.

"We are really excited to add Michaela and Harley to our program," Boothe said. "They are both established shooters in their areas and will make great additions for us."

A native of Bellville, Texas, Gardner captured first place in 3-position smallbore and 4-position smallbore at the NRA Sectional Championships in 2014. She also took first place in standing air rifle at the NRA Sectional Championships and first place at the Texas Junior Olympic Qualifier. Gardner helped her team win the State 4-H match in 2013 and finish runner-up in 2014.

Musselman hails from Pope, Mississippi, just west of Oxford, and attends South Panola High School. She was a member of the team that won the National Air Force Championships in 2014 and placed seventh in the world at All-Service Nationals. Musselman also placed ninth individually in the Gary Anderson Rifle match in 2014.
