COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 29 ranked Ole Miss women's tennis team bounced back from a tough heartbreaking loss at No. 10 Texas A&M on Friday to shut out Missouri 4-0 here Sunday at the Green Tennis Center.

With the win, the Rebels are 13-8 overall and finish the SEC regular season 6-7. They will stay in Columbia for the upcoming SEC Tournament, which gets underway Wednesday. The Rebels earned the No. 9 seed and will face South Carolina in the second round of the SEC Tournament Thursday at 2 p.m.

Rain forced the Missouri match indoors, and the Rebels began the day by taking the doubles point. After an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles from Caroline Rohde-Moe and Marija Milutinovic, Erin Stephens and Iris Verboven closed out an 8-6 win at No. 1 to clinch the 1-0 lead.

With only four courts, the Rebels were looking to get an early lead in singles. They did, taking three of the first four sets. Mai El Kamash improved to 13-4 in dual matches, winning 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles to make it 2-0 Rebels.

Rohde-Moe increased the lead to 3-0 defeating Cierra Gaytan-Leach 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and then Julia Jones clinched it when she beat Kelli Hine 7-5, 7-5 at No. 2 singles.

"This was a great bounce back win on the road after that tough loss to A&M the other day," head coach Mark Beyers said. "The girls showed a lot of heart in a tough environment against a solid Missouri team. Now we get a chance to recover for a couple of days, and get ready for the SEC Tournament here. I feel we are playing well at the right time, and we can absolutely make a run in the tournament."
