Rebels Travel To Austin Peay Friday

REBELS FACE AUSTIN PEAY, MIDDLE TENNESSEE IN SPLIT WEEKEND
OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss soccer team will play its second split weekend of the season when the Rebels take to the road to face Austin Peay on Friday evening at 7 p.m. before returning home to host Middle Tennessee at 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
The Sunday contest with Middle Tennessee will be the Rebels' annual "Kickin' Cancer" game with the squad wearing teal uniforms to help bring awareness to ovarian cancer in the community in a partnership with Baptist Hospital North Mississippi. Jerseys will be auctioned off online at www.OleMissSports.com.
• When Ole Miss (3-1-2) and Austin Peay (1-5-0) take the field for Friday night's match, it will be the first ever contest between the two schools on the soccer pitch.
• Ole Miss is coming off an undefeated weekend after picking up a double -overtime win over Minnesota and playing Memphis to a double-overtime draw at the Rebel Classic.
• Junior forward Olivia Harrison recorded a hat trick and hit the golden goal in the win over Minnesota to record her first career hat trick. She and sophomore forward Addie Forbus hold two of the three hat tricks recorded in the SEC to this point of the season.
• Jessica Hiskey became the third Rebel to notch at least three goals this season with her goal against Memphis this past Sunday. Hiskey also scored two goals in a 5-1 win over UL-Lafayette.
• Ole Miss and Middle Tennessee (2-2-1) will take the field for the seventh time in the history of the series with the Rebels holding a 5-1 lead in the all-time series. The Rebels won the last meeting 3-1 in the 2012 season thanks to goals from Mandy McCalla, Rafaelle Souza and current Rebel, Jennifer Miller.
• Miller hit the game-winner against the Blue Raiders in that 2012 road contest to help the Rebels post the best start in school history as a part of an 8-0 start to the season.
