Ole Miss head coach Matthew Mott met with members of the media Monday to recap his team's performance this past week and preview the upcoming matches at Auburn and Alabama.

"We went 0-1-1 on the weekend. We tied Arkansas on Thursday night in a good match. Arkansas is a very difficult team to play against. Their style is much different than most of the other teams in the SEC. They're very direct. They're very good on set pieces, long throws and corner kicks, so we worked all week on preparing for that."

"Our team did a very good job of defending that all night long. We gave up a goal in the first half where we had a missed clearance and they punched it in. And then we came back and got a good game-tying goal in the second half from Gretchen Harknett. We battled in overtime. We hit the crossbar in overtime, and the goalkeeper made two good saves, and we walk away with a draw. We feel good about how we played but certainly not happy that we didn't get the three points."

"We matched up with Texas A&M yesterday afternoon in a great match. They're No. 10 in the country and rightfully so. We stood toe to toe with them. We took the lead in the second half and then they came back to score two very good goals to take the lead. We hit the crossbar twice in the last 10 seconds of the match to try and tie it and get into overtime, but we just couldn't find the equalizer."

"I'm very happy with my team and the way we're playing. We have given up four goals in conference play at this point after four games, which is good when you think about two games in overtime against Georgia and Arkansas, shutting out State down there and then giving up two to A&M. We have to get better attacking-wise. We have to score more goals. We have to get those guys up front creating more chances for us. That will come. We're very close to doing that."

"We go on the road this week to Auburn and Alabama, two other teams who are very good and who are very tough at home. Auburn on a Friday night is very, very difficult, and then we go into Alabama, who is 2-1 in the conference. Auburn is coming off a road trip, where they tied Vanderbilt and lost to Kentucky, so they will be ready. We have to have a good week of practice and get ready to go for the weekend."
