Post Game Quotes - South Carolina

Ole Miss Head Coach Andy Kennedy
On the game…
"We gave (Stefan) Moody IVs before the game. We'd like for him to finish the game because he's our playmaker. Snoop (LaDarius White) was struggling a little bit tonight and had a couple turnovers. Jarvis (Summers) was steady. I was trying to rest him as much as possible for him to have pop down the stretch. It was hard to keep him off the floor because he was controlling the ball. Moody has the gear to separate. We're just trying to put him in actions where he can get separation. South Carolina is very good defensively, top 10 in efficiency. They don't have the abundance of rim protectors, but they don't allow you to get to your spot. We were trying to get some isolations where Moody had some space to make a play. He made huge 3s for us down the stretch that put it away."
On the team learning to play together…
"There are still times when we are putting guys in position to fail. We did it a couple times late in the game when we got dribble penetration. We were throwing these lobs thinking that someone was going to go up and make a play. It's really the guard's mistake for putting that big in that position. That's not what we are. With us, every player has a strength and a weakness. I'm trying to have combinations to cover ourselves. We're getting better at that."
On gaining confidence from Kentucky game…
"The standard has been changed. Through 13 games, we've seen some high points and low points. Then we went into Rupp Arena, in that environment. The only thing that bothered me afterwards was a lot of people saying that Kentucky didn't play well. Kentucky played well. We took their best shot. My hope was that our guys saw that this is the new standard, and this is what we are capable of doing if we take the right approach. If we take the right approach, this team has a chance."
