Ole Miss Head Coach Matthew Mott met with members of the media on Monday as part of his weekly press conference. Coach Mott discussed the Rebels' two memorable wins over the weekend, a last-second victory at Arkansas and a win over No. 10 South Carolina. The sixth-year head coach also looked ahead to this week's match versus Auburn, another top-10 opponent.

Opening Statement...
"Hey guys thanks for coming. First of all, I want to congratulate Coach McRoberts on the win against Georgia this past weekend. That's great for them and certainly a big victory for the football team as well. We had a great weekend. We traveled to Arkansas, played a tough team and scored a good goal at the very end. We really started out the game really strong. Georgia Russell hit the post and we got a penalty kick that the keeper saved on us and went into halftime feeling really good about the game and how we were playing. We came out in the second half and scored a good goal that kind of bounced around. We shot it and it bounced off of Arkansas player as it went in and then they got one maybe ten minutes later. We battled and battled and the thing about this team is they just don't quit; the effort is unbelievable. We were able to get into overtime, and that (last second goal) was probably the craziest play I've ever been apart of. The ball gets cleared with ten seconds to go and it's at midfield with nine seconds. Typically the game's over at that point. Jessica Hiskey hits it forward; Liza Harbin hits it forward again, and the ball pops up in the air. Gretchen Harknett heads it, and it's going to Addie Forbus. A girl comes to block it from Addie and out of nowhere there's Maddie Friedmann and she one-times it into the goal as the clock counts down and we get it in just within one second, so that was very exciting. We celebrated like crazy and just a mark for this team that they don't quit. We came home again last night and took on South Carolina who is a very good team and beat us 2-0 last year at South Carolina. We had just an awesome crowd. It was Greek Night and the students were out; Rebel Nation was out. It was really just a great soccer atmosphere. It was the shot of adrenaline and I think energy that we needed to take down the Gamecocks. We got a goal in the first half by Georgia Russell and as I said again the team doesn't quit. In the 90th minute Addie Forbus got in on a breakaway and finished the game for us 2-0. So it was a great week. We're up to number 27 in the RPI which is a great spot for us from an NCAA Tournament standpoint but certainly we have four more big games ahead of us. It doesn't get any easier as we have Auburn coming in here on Friday night. They are number three in the RPI and ranked in the top 10 (of the coaches poll). Auburn is a good team that's very dangerous and can score a lot of goals. We need to be ready but our girls are in a good spot and we're excited to play."
