Moody Earns Preseason All-SEC Honors

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss senior guard Stefan Moody was named to the preseason All-SEC first team Wednesday, as selected by the league's media.
The Kissimmee, Florida native is the leading returning scorer in the SEC this season after averaged a league-best 18.6 points per game in conference play last year. Moody was joined on the first team by Florida's Dorrian Finney-Smith, Kentucky's Skal Labissiere and Tyler Ulis, Texas A&M's Danuel House, Vanderbilt's Damian Jones and LSU's Ben Simmons, who was chosen as the preseason player of the year.
The Rebels were also picked ninth in the preseason media poll, despising returning three starters off last year's NCAA tournament team. Ole Miss has not finished worse than sixth in the league since the conference went away from the divisional format.
Points were compiled on a 14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis. Each media member also voted for a five-player All-SEC Team and ties were not broken.
