Ole Miss in Second Place After 36 Holes

Results Final Pairings
O'AHU,Hawaii-The Ole Miss women's golf team completed the second round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in O'ahu, Hawaii on Wednesday and after 36 holes sit eight strokes off the lead.
Ole Miss shot a second-round 298, falling into a tie for second place with New Mexico State. The leader, BYU, rebounded from day one firing a 289 to take the lead from the Rebels.
Leading the way for Ole Miss was senior Katie Voll (Alpharetta, Ga.) who fired a 1-over par 73 in the second round. Her day was anchored by three birdies on the back nine. Voll has played well in the fall and made her way into the lineup for the second consecutive tournament this week.
"Today I didn't chip very well, so my focus was to hit as many greens as I could," Voll said. "I got control of my nerves and scrambled. I know the team will finish strong tomorrow."
Junior Madisen Bentley (University Place, Wash.) also put together another solid round, carding a 2-over par 74. Bentley has been a consistent low-scorer for the Rebels, sporting a 74.45 round average this fall. Coupled with her opening round 73, Bentley sits in a tie for ninth entering the final round and is in search of her second consecutive top-10 finish.
The Rebels will hit the course for the final round at 8:00 a.m. HT, and will be paired with players from BYU, Hawaii and New Mexico State. Fans can begin to follow the action at 1:00 p.m. CT via GolfStat.
