Fallert Reaches Semis at SEC Fall Tournament

AUBURN, Ala. -- Ole Miss men's tennis freshman Fabian Fallert reached the semifinals of the B Draw at the SEC Fall Tournament Saturday, before dropping a three-setter at the Yarbrough Tennis Center. Fallert also teamed up with fellow freshman Filip Kraljevic to reach the doubles consolation final.
Fallert Reaches Semis
Fabian Fallert improved to 7-4 on the year. After a first round bye, Fallert defeated Vanderbilt's Tate Allwardt 6-4, 6-2 to reach the quarterfinals, where he beat Commodore Pen Binet, 6-2, 7-6. In the semifinals, Fallert lost a three-setter to South Carolina junior Andrew Schafer. Fallert won the first set 7-5, but Schafer won the next two 6-2, 6-0.
Doubles Bounce Back
After a first round loss in doubles, Fabian Fallert and Filip Kraljevic rebounded to defeat the Arkansas tandem of Gimmaro Micolani and Jose Salazar 8-6. They will face the Mississippi State team of Niclas Braun and Hunter Vaughn Sunday at 9 a.m.
