Pre-qualifying Tournament
Six Rebels competed in the pre-qualifying tournament at the ITA All-American Championships. Vinod Gowda, Grey Hamilton and Gustav Hansson reached the second round, with Hansson winning twice Sunday in straight sets to advance to the final round. In his first match, he downed San Diego State's Milen Ianakiev 6-2, 6-2. In the third round, Hansson defeated Kevin Lam of Texas A&M 6-3, 6-3. He will face John Mee of Texas in the final round Monday at 8 a.m.

Qualifying Tournament
Gustav Hansson will attempt to join teammates Filip Kraljevic and Ricardo Jorge in the qualifying tournament, which begins Monday. Jorge will face Christian Langmo of Miami (FL) in the first round, and Kraljevic plays Daniel Bednarczyk of Indiana. Hansson will also team up with senior Stefan Lindmark in the qualifying doubles.

What's at Stake?
All three are trying to join teammate Stefan Lindmark in the main draw, which starts Thursday.

Quoting Assistant Coach Taylor Vaughn
"Gus has been extremely solid throughout the tournament. His preparation in practice prior to the tournament was very business like. I'm looking forward to seeing him compete more tomorrow."

Shark Feeds Again
While the current Rebels are competing in Tulsa, four-time All-American Nik Scholtz wrapped up his first pro title on U.S. soil Sunday, defeating former Georgia All-American Wil Spencer 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 at the Laguna Niguel Futures. Scholtz captured his sixth overall pro title.
