OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's golf staff is pleased to introduce two signees that signed their national letters of intent with the Rebels during the early signing period last week.

Katy Harris of St. Simons Island, Georgia and Pi-Lillebi Hermansson of Djursholm, Sweden will join the Rebels for the 2016-17 season, head coach Kory Henkes announced Wednesday.

Harris, a transfer from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, will fit in well in the Ole Miss locker room when she arrives in the fall. The junior placed third in the Women's Amateur qualifier in Suwanee, Georgia and moved on to compete in the 2015 USGA Women's Am in Portland, Oregon.

While at Mercer, Harris posted a 75.1 stroke average her freshman year and a 73.3 stroke average her sophomore year. She recorded two wins for the Bears, one at the Eat A Peach Collegiate (72-72-70-214) and the other at the UNCG Forest Oaks Fall Classic (70-72-73-2015).

"Katy is a competitive player with a fiery attitude on the course. She brings a wealth of experience from her previous play at Mercer as well as her national tournament experience," Henkes said. "She will be an immediate impact player for us and we look forward to the next two years with her."

Hermansson, a native of Sweden, comes to Ole Miss as a true freshman and is bringing quite the résumé with her to Oxford.

She won back-to-back national championship qualifiers in 2013 and 2014 as well as the Skandia Cup Riksfinal in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The Skandia Cup is known as one of the world's largest junior golf competitions.

"Pi brings a lot of international experience to our team. She continues to grow and get better each and every year," Henkes said. "Coach (Drew) Belt and I look forward to helping her grow as a player so she can leave her mark at Ole Miss."

Ole Miss starts the spring season Feb. 22 when they head to The Gold Rush tournament hosted by Long Beach State University. Also highlighting the spring slate is a trip to Baton Rouge for the LSU Tiger Golf Classic March 20 and the 2016 Rebel Intercollegiate at the Ole Miss Golf Course April 1-3.
