Rebels Here and Abroad Win the Weekend

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss men's tennis wrapped up a successful weekend in competition with current players at two different competitions, and a former player taking home another pro title.
LSU Invitational
Vinod Gowda, Zvonimir Babic and Robert Mounger competed in the LSU Invitational down in Baton Rouge and came away with four wins in singles and doubles. Gowda defeated Princeton's Alex Day 6-0, 7-5 and Zvonimir Babic beat PU's Luke Gamble 6-4, 7-5. The duo teamed up for two wins in doubles, beating LSU's Simon Freund and Gabor Csonka 6-4 and Justin Butsch and Tam Trinh 6-4.
Niceville Futures
Senior Stefan Lindmark, junior Ricardo Jorge and sophomore Gustav Hansson were in Niceville, Florida for the F32 Futures. Lindmark advanced to the third round of qualifying, but rain delayed play until Monday. Ricardo Jorge reached the second round before losing.
Shark Feeds again
In alumni news, four-time All-American Nik Scholtz won his seventh pro title Sunday, capturing the South Africa F1 Futures in Stellenbosch. It marks his fourth singles title in his home country. Scholtz, the No. 2 seed, defeated top-seeded Pascal Brunner of Austria, 7-6(5), 7-5.
