Rebels Head to Samford Intercollegiate

The familiarity doesn't stop at the course for Drinkard, as she'll being going against a very familiar face from Samford. "I'm very proud of Samford head coach Rachel Ingram, a former player of mine at Ole Miss," Drinkard said. "I've enjoyed watching the success she is having at Samford."
Ingram was a four-time letter winner at Ole Miss from 2006 to 2009 and is in her second season as the Bulldog head coach.
The 2015 Samford Intercollegiate tees off Monday in Hoover, and pairing and live scoring information will be posted when available. Joining Ole Miss in the field will be host Samford, Belmont, Evansville, Lipscomb, Louisiana-Monroe, McNeese State, West Alabama and West Georgia.
OXFORD, Miss - The Ole Miss women's golf team is set to compete in their final regular season road tournament on Monday as they travel to Hoover, Alabama to compete in the Samford Intercollegiate hosted by Samford University. The tournament will be played at Hoover Country Club (Par 72 - 6,100 yards).
Coming off a trip to Arizona for the Clover Cup over spring break, the Rebels are looking to continue recent improvements before hosting the seventh annual Rebel Intercollegiate April 3-5 at the Ole Miss Golf Course.
Senior Stani Schiavone (Bangor, Pa.) and sophomore Madisen Bentley (University Place, Wash.) led the way for Ole Miss at the Clover Cup, each carding 54-hole scores of 228. Both players were tied for 18th in the individual standings.

"It is fun to be returning to Hoover where I spent three great years of my career," Drinkard said. "It will be great to see the membership and some of those that I gave lessons to over the years."
"The course has been renovated since I left the club, said Drinkard. "They have added some new bunkers and additional hazards. Our team will love the layout and I feel like we can really score on this course."
Alison Hovatter (Meridianville, Ala.) also knows Hoover Country Club well after finishing as runner-up in the Alabama State Am on the same course in 2012.
