REPORT ON THE RAGIN' CAJUNS
Louisiana-Lafayette comes off of opening weekend with an even 1-1 record against two Southland Conference opponents after a 1-0 loss against Sam Houston and a 2-0 win over Nicholls State. The Ragin' Cajuns (1-1-0) bring in a well-rounded team that includes 18 letterwinners from last year's squad, including Preseason All-Sun Belt First Team selection Yazmin Montoya. The Cajuns have a veteran backline led by junior defender Kimberly Grasso and senior goalkeeper Lindsey Stocks. However, 15 of the 33 players on the roster are underclassmen. The Cajuns' backline is playing well early in the season. ULL has shut out an opponent in the first half for two consecutive matches, and the defense did not allow a shot attempt to Nicholls State in the first period. ULL is led by Head Coach Scot Wieland who is now in his 11th year coaching the Ragin' Cajuns. The Rebels have posted a 3-0 record against ULL with the last meeting between the two resulting in a 5-1 win for Ole Miss, August 31, 2014.

SCOUTING THE LADY GOVS
Austin Peay travels to Oxford, Miss. on August 30 to square off against the Rebels at 3 p.m. after splitting a pair of games on opening weekend. Just as the Rebels did, Austin Peay (1-1-0) opened their season with double overtime matchup against UAB. However, the Lady Govs fell to the Blazers, 4-3, despite two goals from junior Nicole Wojcik. Austin Peay sophomore goalkeeper Lindsey Todd played the full 105 minutes and made seven saves on 17 UAB shots. The young Austin Peay team, which includes 10 newcomers, is gaining experience early as the Lady Govs also played to double overtime in their second game of the season against Chattanooga that resulted in a 1-0 win. The Lady Govs look to All-OVC Second Team selection Gina Fabbro to lead the offensive attack. Fabro has marked 14 goals over her two previous seasons. Austin Peay is coached by Kelley Guth, who entering her 14th year with the program. The match between Ole Miss and Austin Peay will be only the second meeting between the two teams. The Rebels traveled to the Lady Govs' pitch in 2014 and took home a 2-0 shutout over Austin Peay.

BACK-TO-BACK SHUTOUTS
The Rebels kicked off the 2015 season with an unbeaten opening weekend. Ole Miss recorded shutouts in two games on opening weekend for the first time since 2003. The Rebels produced clean sheets in their first two games of the 2010 and 2011 seasons, but they only played one game on each opening weekend during those respective seasons.
Friday night, Ole Miss began a season on the road for the first time since 2009, playing Florida Gulf Coast to a hard-fought scoreless draw. With the Eagles knocking off nationally-ranked foes Florida and UCF during preseason exhibition play along with them celebrating the 2014 Atlantic Sun Conference championship prior to the start of the game, FGCU had a ton of momentum heading into the contest. However, the Rebels settled into the match during the first 45 minutes before taking control in the second half. Although Ole Miss created some scoring opportunities, the back of the net could not be found. Nonetheless, the Rebels' backline stood tall and helped redshirt freshman Marnie Merritt earn a shutout in her first career start.
Coming back home for the home opener on Sunday, junior Addie Forbus scored Ole Miss' first goal of the season in the third minute of the contest, and the Rebels never looked back by cruising to a 4-0 victory over Boise State. Freshman CeCe Kizer and junior college transfer Danielle Gray tallied goals for the first time in their respective Ole Miss careers. Senior Olivia Harrison also converted a penalty kick for the 21st goal of her career. Behind the leadership of three-year defensive team captain Samantha Sanders, Ole Miss did not allow the Broncos to attempt a single shot throughout the 90 minutes.

NEW REBELS ON THE RISE
Ole Miss freshman CeCe Kizer started in the first two games of her collegiate career, playing 117 minutes. She landed her first career shot on goal against Florida Gulf Cost before finding the back of the net for her first goal as a Rebel in a 4-0 win over Boise State. Kizer helped orchestrate an attack that outshot the Broncos 17-0 and control ball possession for nearly the entire match. Junior college transfer Danielle Gray also tallied the first goal of her Ole Miss career on Sunday August 23 against Boise State. Gray's goal helped extend the Rebel lead to 2-0 over the Broncos late in the first half.

HOMESTAND CONTINUES
The seven-game homestand will continue for the Rebels during the first week of September. The University of Central Florida takes the pitch against Ole Miss on September 4 at 7 p.m. The Rebels are on the home field again Sunday with a 5 p.m. kickoff time versus Arkansas-Little Rock. Both games will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
