Rebel To Watch For
Senior Alison Hovatter (Meridanville, Ala.) has been steady for the Rebels in her four years. Last week, she finished tied for 14th after carding a 76-74-78-228. The Alabama native had a busy summer, competing in the U.S. Women's Amateur in Portland, Oregon. In the qualifier in Lawrence, Kansas, Hovatter rallied on the last two holes to card a 4-over par 74 and a third-place finish.

Coach Henkes Debut
Kory Henkes made her tournament debut as the Rebels head coach last week after spending the last four years at GRU Augusta. Her squad finished second in her first tournament scoring a 300-309-298-907 in Memphis. Henkes brings six years of head coaching experience to Oxford, and is familiar with the Rebels as her GRU Augusta squad claimed the 2014 Rebel Intercollegiate team title.

Looking Ahead
After the Golfweek Conference Challenge, Ole Miss will head to the Wendy's Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern October 5-6. The tournament will take place at Rivertowne Country Club in Charleston, South Carolina. Henkes is quite familiar with Charleston Southern as she spent two years as the head women's golf coach at Charleston Southern, winning the 2010 Big South Championship.

Coach Kory Henkes quoted:

On continuing the momentum from Memphis...
"I think we learned a lot from our final round in Memphis. I am hoping we can carry that momentum and smart decision making with us to Colorado this week."

On the week of preparation...
"We had a lot of individualized practice this week that really worked on our wedges for some players and our ball striking for others. I feel good about everyone's game at the moment and look forward to a great week in Colorado."
