Recap

Ole Miss Head Coach Andy Kennedy

On the game…
"Initially when (Stefan Moody) grabbed his hamstring, I thought it was a cramp. Then, I thought it was a little more than that. He wanted to play, but he just couldn't move. Despite all of that, if we could have just made one play. From the free throw line, we shoot 59 percent. We got out-rebounded by 12. We were in the game because we were making shots throughout a period of time. We made them turn it over, so it kept us in the game. Defensively, the zone bothered them a little bit early. They just crushed us on the offensive glass. To beat a ranked team in an SEC game, you have to make a play. Somebody has to make a play. We didn't get it done."

On Moody's injury…
"Our trainer doesn't feel a divot, which is good. Obviously, he's a pretty compact, tight guy. We think it's a strain. Typically, if you've ever pulled your hamstring which would be very problematic, there would be a divot formed based on where the tear is. There's no divot. I don't think he could have even given us as much as he did if it was torn. He's probably strained it. He's a pretty special kid physically, so we'll see what happens next."

On leaving Moody in the game…
"Honestly, I didn't really want to, but my staff wanted him in the game because he's our mojo obviously. We don't have (Sebastian Saiz). We just don't have anybody because (Tomasz Gielo) fouls out. I look up sometimes at the team we have on that floor. That's why we ran the plays to the guys. I didn't think Moody could get separation. They were going to still guard him with a couple of guys, so it was going to allow other people to get looks. We got those looks, just didn't cash in."
