Rebels Set for ITA Southern Regionals

OXFORD, Miss. - A spot in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships will be on the line this weekend, as the Ole Miss men's tennis team heads to Auburn, Alabama for the ITA Southern Regional Championships presented by Oracle.
Play begins Friday from the Yarbrough Tennis Center. The finals of singles and doubles will take place Monday.
The competition
The field includes players from schools in the states of Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, including SEC members Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State.
Rebel participants
Zvonimir Babic, Fabian Fallert, Grey Hamilton, Gustav Hansson, Filip Kraljevic, Robert Mounger and Tim Sandkaulen will make the trip.
Players to watch
Junior All-American Gustav Hansson, ranked No. 18 in the nation, made it to the third round of the Saint Francis Health System All-American Championships before he lost to No. 1 ranked Mikael Torpegaard of Ohio State. Zvonimir Babic and Filip Kraljevic advanced to the second round of the All-American Championships before losing to No. 10 ranked Laurens Verboven and Nick Crystal of Southern Cal.
Earlier in the season at the Cajun Classic, Tim Sandkaulen came back from a first-round loss and made his way to the consolation final.
