What made you choose Ole Miss?
There was so much to love about Ole Miss. After meeting the coaching staff and a few of the players, I knew this was a place where I could continue to grow as a player and the possession style is similar to the way I play the game. When touring the campus every person we met was so friendly and personable. It was evident that they all genuinely loved and believed in all that the school offered. The beautiful campus was an extra bonus and the feeling of comfort made me realize this is the place I wanted to call home for the next four years.
What do you like most about Ole Miss and Oxford?
I love how Oxford is a college town. Everything revolves around the University of Mississippi. There is an enormous amount of history and tradition that I find very appealing. Ole Miss is a large state university, but has a family oriented feel. Everyone takes pride of being a part of the Rebel community and supports each other.
How did you attract the attention of the coaching staff at Ole Miss?
When the coaches came to Dallas for the ECNL Showcase they watched me play in a raging snowstorm. From that point on we began to develop a relationship.
If you could give any advice to younger players entering the sport, what would it be?
If you are passionate about the sport of soccer then set personal goals and work on your touch and skills by juggling and playing around with the ball. Attending practice and playing in games isn't enough if you want to be the best. The most important thing is to continue to have fun and always play free.
If you had a day off from soccer, what would you do?
Find a park to eno with some friends and end the day with dinner at Chili's.
What are your goals for the season?
My goals this season are to continue to grow as an individual and as a soccer player while learning from my coaches and teammates. I want to be a positive contributor and impact player on the team, qualify for the SEC tournament, and ultimately, advance to the NCAA Division I Soccer Tournament.
