Kraljevic Advances to Qualifying at All-American

TULSA, Okla. â€" Ole Miss men's tennis junior Filip Kraljevic won three matches this weekend to advance to the qualifying round of the Saint Francis Health System/ITA All-American Championships.
After a first-round bye in pre-qualifying, Kraljevic, seeded 9-16, rallied to beat Michael Kay of Georgia Tech 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. In the second round, Kraljevic beat Jake Faundez of Georgia Tech 6-3, 6-2. In the final round, Kraljevic defeated Toby Boyer of Nebraska 6-1, 7-5.

• Freshman Cotter Wilson finished 3-1 losing in the final to 9-16 seed Christian Langmo of Miami.
• Senior Zvonimir Babic went 2-1 with a tough loss in the third round to Illinois' Noe Khlif. Babic had two match points in the third set tiebreaker, but Khlif saved them to win the match 3-6, 6-2, 7-6(6).

"We've had a really good start to the All-American picking up several good wins in the early stages of this marathon tournament. Filip made it through four rounds of pre-qualifying and has made strides physically and is looking strong."
Up next…
Kraljevic joins teammates Fabian Fallert and Grey Hamilton in the qualifying round, which begins Monday. Hamilton will kick off the action at 9:30 a.m. against Texas Tech's Artem Kapshuk. Kraljevic faces Kyle Seelig of Ohio State at 10 a.m., and Fallert meets Will Little of Baylor at 10:30 a.m. Babic will team up with fellow senior Gustav Hansson in qualifying doubles against the 32nd-ranked Clemson duo of Sam Edwards and Alex Favrot at 12:30 p.m.
