Ole Miss Soccer Head Coach Matthew Mott met with members of the media on Monday as part of his weekly press conference. Coach Mott recapped Friday's loss to No. 3 South Carolina, and previewed this weekend's matches against No. 25 Tennessee (Thursday, 7 p.m.) and LSU (Sunday, 2 p.m.)

Opening statement...
"Congratulations to volleyball on great wins this weekend. Whenever you can win in Starkville for any of our sports is a great thing. That is always a very difficult place to play, so a great win there and then to be able to come back and beat Georgia is awesome. We played Friday night against South Carolina, the No. 3 team in the country, the No. 1 team in the SEC right now. We lost 2-0 in a game that we fought really hard. I felt like for 90 minutes, we made some mistakes and didn't execute as well as we wanted to. I think South Carolina had something to do with that. They are a very good and strong team. We have to learn from it and move on and get ready for a big weekend this weekend."

On Thursday's match with Tennessee...
"We are back to a two-game weekend where we play at Tennessee on Thursday night, they are nationally ranked and 10 in the RPI right now, so certainly a big opportunity for us up there. They are 10-1-1 and having a great year. They are a team that we are excited to play and know pretty well since we play them every year. We played them last year in the conference tournament and lost to them there. They are a good team and it will be a good matchup there."

On Sunday's match vs. LSU
"We return home for Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., really our only Sunday afternoon game for the rest of the season. We play LSU and they are No. 19 in the RPI, so I think we have eight teams in the top 25 now in the RPI. We have the No.1 RPI conference so that is really good. We are currently No. 25. LSU is a very talented team and very well coached. I think Brian Lee is one of the top coaches in our league and seems really well prepared. They beat us down there last year 3-0. It will be a difficult challenge for us, but one we are certainly looking for. Our team is in a pretty good spot, we have a couple banged up but, but most will be out there for our training tonight. They are motivated knowing we have six games left and have to get points to get to the beach. We certainly need to improve our resume to get to the NCAA tournament. We are excited to get to Knoxville on Thursday."
