Rebel Soccer Announces 2017 Freshmen Signees

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss Soccer continued building its foundation for the future of the program with the 2017 freshmen signing class of nine players, which was officially announced Monday by head coach Matthew Mott.
Joining the Rebels this summer will be eight freshmen - four defenders, one midfielder and three forwards. Channing Foster, a forward/midfielder, joined the program as an early enrollee this semester and is already practicing with the team.

Sophie Dineen | Defender | 5-7 | Omaha, Neb. | Marian HS
HIGH SCHOOL: All-state player out of Marian High School in Omaha, Nebraska ... Lettered three years for the Crusaders ... Named second team all-state in 2016 after scoring nine goals with nine assists helping lead the team to a 15-3 record ... Scored two goals as a sophomore with one assist ... Found the net four times in her freshman season helping the Crusaders to an 18-1 record ... 15 career goals and 11 career assists still with her senior campaign left to play this spring ... Member of the Principals Honor Roll and Spanish Honors Society ... Coached in high school by Teresa DeGeorge.
CLUB/ODP: Played club with Elite Girls Academy in 2016 and totaled four goals and 15 assists.

Helped the Ironmen to an 18-4-3 record in 2016 and regional championship ... As a sophomore, named to the IHSSCA All-Sectional Team after helping lead her squad to an 18-5-1 record ... Scored 10 goals and dished out 18 helpers in that season ... Scored eight goals and seven assists in 2014 as a freshman ... Three-time First Team All-Big 12 Conference selection ...
