Weather Postpones Rebels' Match at Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The Ole Miss men's tennis team struck first in their match at No. 15 Mississippi State, taking the doubles point, before it started raining at the beginning of singles Saturday at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre. After a long delay, play was suspended around 8:30 p.m.

The match will resume at 10 a.m. Sunday with the Rebels leading 1-0 and all six singles early in the first sets.

Saturday's match began with the Rebels taking a tight doubles point. Zvonimir Babic and Ricardo Jorge struck first, defeating Mate Cutura and Vaughn Hunter 6-3, before Filip Kraljevic and Tim Sandkaulen beat Nuno Borges and Giovanni Oradini 6-4 to clinch the point. In a rematch of the ITA Southern Regioanl Championships, 13th-ranked Fabian Fallert and Grey Hamilton were tied with 31st-ranked Niclas Braun and Trevor Foshey 5-5.
