Rebels on an Upward Trajectory
The Rebels finished13th in the always tough SEC Championship but trust all is not lost and thevery best is yet to come from these Rebels. Ole Miss entered the SECChampionships as the No. 14 team and closed the weekend in 13th place and aheadof No. 39 Auburn. Additionally, Ole Miss' three-round score of 891 is the bestscore at the SEC Championships since 2010 and the best score for the Rebels atGreystone since the tournament moved to the course in 2014. Despite the finish,Ole Miss posted its very best scoring average in program history in 2016-17,sporting a 298.47. #GoodThingsOnTheWay

Sunday'sfinal round at the SEC Championship marked the final rounds of the collegiatecareers for seniors Maria Toennessen and Madisen Bentley. Toennessen is a four-yearletterwinner at Ole Miss while Bentley had donned the navy and red for threeseasons. Thank you for laying a solid foundation for our success and muchsuccess in your future endeavours. #OnceARebelAlwaysARebel
Ole Miss Golf Is Family
One of thecoolest things about Ole Miss golf is that once you're a part of it, you'refamily. For example, recent graduate Alison Hovatter and her mom, Lou, made thetrip to Greystone to see the Rebels in the SEC Championship. Also Coach Henkes'parents, Steve and Caryl "Momma T" Â Thompson made the trip to cheer on the Rebels.Additionally, when the Rebels weren't on the course or practicing they werecheering on the Ole Miss men's team who was tearing it up at Sea Island at themen's SEC Championships! #OleMissFamily
Young Guns
The Ole Miss women's golf team is in very capable hands with underclassmen, Pi-Lillebi Hermanssonand Martina Flori back on the course next year. Of the Rebels who played in atleast seven tournaments this season, they sport the lowest scoring averageswith Flori checking in a 74.88 and Hermansson at 75.04. Hermansson's 75.04scoring average as a freshman is the lowest scoring average for a freshmansince Abby Newton posted a 75.93 scoring average her freshman season. Among thehighly talented SEC women's golfers, Flori and Hermansson rank as the No. 49and No. 50 golfers in the league.
Some "Funnies"
-MartinaFlori admittedly didn't have her best round of golf on Saturday, but what shefailed to tell us was that she was in mourning over the marriage of RoryMcIllroy which also took place on Saturday #RoryWasBae
-Mondaymarked the Rebels' Choice Awards for the Ole Miss Athletic Department and thewomen's golf team got all dressed up to celebrate the athletic year. As you cantell, we still haven't mastered the art of the perfect picture:)
Memorable Moments From The 2016-17 Season
-Katy Harrismade an 18-ft putt to win medalist honors at the Palmetto Intercollegiate atKiawah Island.Â
-ThreeRebels posted sub-70 rounds with Martina Flori's round of 67 at the Hawkeye ElTigre Invitational coming in as the lowest single round of the season
-Ole Missrecords best scoring average in program history at 298.47
