Men's Tennis Set to Kick off Fall Season

OXFORD, Miss. - As another year at Ole Miss settles in, six members of the men's tennis team are set to compete this weekend in the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Georgia.
Ins and outs of fall season...
Fall tennis consists of individual tournaments, while the team matches occur only in the spring. The Rebels will compete in several individual tournaments this fall, including the ITA All-American Championships, the ITA Southern Regional Championships, the SEC Fall Tournament, ITF Futures and the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
About the Southern Intercollegiates...
The Southern Intercollegiate Championships features three divisions of singles and two divisions of doubles played at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Play begins at 8 a.m., Friday with singles rounds of 64 and 32. Saturday's matches begin at 8 a.m with doubles round of 64 and 32 and continues with singles round of 16. Play concludes Monday with the finals for singles and both the semifinals and finals for doubles.
Who's Competing?
Seniors Zvonimir Babic and Grey Hamilton, juniors Fabian Fallert and Filip Kraljevic and sophomore Tim Sandkaulen are all back to lead the Rebels. Fallert earned All-SEC honors in the spring and teamed with Hamilton to end the year ranked No. 20 in the nation. Freshman Cotter Wilson will make his debut in Rebel uniform.

Hansson heads to California for ITF Futures...
While his teammates compete in Georgia, senior Gustav Hansson will head to Claremont, California for the ITF Futures. Hansson earned a main draw bid with his current ATP singles ranking of 750. He will begin play next week. Last month, Hansson won the ITF Futures singles and doubles titles in Edwardsville, Illinois.
