STILLWATER, Okla. - For the second year in a row, the No. 23-ranked Ole Miss women's tennis team is headed to the ITA National Team Indoor, knocking out host and 15th-ranked Oklahoma State 4-1 in the championship match of the ITA Kick-Off here Saturday at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Rebels earned the doubles point and picked up singles wins from Arianne Hartono, Tereza Janatova and Tea Jandric to close out the Cowgirls.
Ole Miss took the early 1-0 lead with convincing wins at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles. Hartono and Alexa Bortles, ranked No. 13, downed 20th-ranked Vladica Babic and Sofia Blanco of OSU 6-1. Anna Vrbenska and Jandric, ranked No. 58, defeated Megan McCray and Shir Hornung 6-2 on court three to clinch the point.
Oklahoma State tied the match when Megan McCray beat Natalie Suk 6-2, 6-1, but that would be it for the Cowgirls.
Hartono, ranked No. 50, broke 20th-ranked Babic to complete a 6-0, 6-4 win and make it 2-1 Rebels. Moments later, Friday's hero, Tereza Janatova, finished off a straight set win against Hornug, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 6 singles, to put the Rebels within one, 3-1.
Jandric bounced back from a tough loss on Friday to down OSU's Blanco 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles for the clincher.

Courtside with Head Coach Mark Beyers...
"Great team win today against No. 15 Oklahoma State. We played some excellent doubles to take a 1-0 lead. Once again, we were able to win three first sets in singles and close all those matches out in straight sets for the 4-1 victory and a berth into the National Team Indoor Championships. Every match this year we've played a little bit better. The girls are excited to get to play in front of our home fans next weekend against Memphis and Arkansas Pine Bluff."
Junior Tea Jandric…
"It's always good to get a big win, especially in the beginning of the season. We are all still getting used to playing matches, and we know we can still get better. Everybody battled really hard and we managed to get four points."
Next up...
The Rebels return home to host Memphis and Arkansas-Pine Bluff in a doubleheader Feb. 3 at the new Ole Miss Indoor Tennis Center. The ITA National Team Indoor will take place Feb. 9-12 at the University of Wisconsin.
