Rebels Garner United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

Ole Miss Ranks Eighth in Division I with 3.67 Team GPA
OXFORD, Miss. โ For an eighth-consecutive year, Ole Miss has been named a recipient of the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, receiving the laurel for the 2017-18 academic year.
The laurel is bestowed upon all teams across all levels of the NCAA who possess a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher. With an SEC-best 3.67 team GPA, the Rebels rank eighth in Division I and 15th across the entire NCAA.
With academic prowess a key focus of head coach Matt Mott's program, the Rebels registered 14 total 4.00 GPAs in 2017-18, seven in the fall semester and an additional seven in the spring.
A total of 774 soccer teams (289 men, 485 women) were recognized as USC Team Academic Award honorees. Of that total, 192 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

The award comes right on the heels of a key SEC match for the Rebels, who face off against Missouri on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. at Audrey J. Walton Soccer Stadium in Columbia, Missouri. The match will be streamed live on SEC Network +.
