Men's Golf Welcomes Brett Schell for Fall 2019

Rebels sign Florida standout
OXFORD, Miss. – While the Rebels wrapped up fall play a couple weeks ago, head coach Chris Malloy is proud to announce Brett Schell as the newest member of the Ole Miss men's golf program. Schell made his commitment official Wednesday morning on National Signing Day.
"We are extremely excited to officially welcome Brett to our family," said Malloy. "It's hard to believe that it has been nearly two years since he made his decision to be a Rebel, and we are still nine months away from getting him on campus."
Schell, a native St. Augustine, Florida where he attends Bartram Trail High School, will join the Rebels for the 2019-2020 season. This fall, Schell led his high school team to a conference championship, while also claiming the individual title with a 2-under finish at St. John's Golf Club. He went on to place runner-up at the 2018 3A Florida State Championship with an 8-under par tournament, including a hole-in-one.
"Brett has all of the tools to be one of the best players in the nation," added Malloy. "There is no doubt he has shown that he is trending in the right direction, and we can't wait to get him to Oxford!"
This past summer, Schell finished third in the Florida Junior Amateur Championship. He is a 3-time winner on the FSGA Junior Tour. In 2016, he placed top-5 at both the St. Augustine Amateur and First Coast Amateur.
