Kizer Named to First Team for Third Time, Foster Receives First All-Region No
OXFORD, Miss. – The United Soccer Coaches recently released its All-Region teams, with Ole Miss' being represented on the Southeast Region squads by CeCe Kizer and Channing Foster. Kizer landed on the first team and Foster was named to the third team.
The Rebel duo, both receiving All-SEC distinction earlier in the year, were one of the most dynamic attacking duos in the nation, combining for 21 goals and 11 assists in 2018.
Joining Rebel greats Jennifer Soileau and Krital Menard, Kizer is the third player in program-history to receive all-region honors from the coaches' association three times, the only Rebel to garner first team laurels each time. The senior registered 13 goals and nine assists, leading the SEC in both categories during the regular season.
After scoring eight goals and chipping in a pair of assists, Foster earned all-region recognition for the first time in her young career. The sophomore striker's goal total was good for sixth-most in the SEC, ranking tied for third in the league with five goals in conference play.
