Senior Selected as One of Nation’s Top Midfielders

OXFORD, Miss. – On Tuesday, Ole Miss midfielder CeCe Kizer received another accolade in recognition of her terrific final season in Oxford, being named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Best XI Third Team.

It is the second-consecutive season being honored with Best XI status by TopDrawerSoccer.com for Kizer after landing on the Second Team a season ago. The laurel is one of numerous bestowed to the midfielder following her senior campaign, in addition to a United Soccer Coaches All-America nod as well as First Team All-SEC honors.

Concluding the most prolific career that Rebel soccer has ever seen, Kizer scored 13 times in 2018, adding nine assists to help lead Ole Miss to an NCAA Tournament bid for the third time in her career. The senior finished the regular season as the SEC leader in both goals and assists, becoming the second player in league-history to do so.

Ole Miss' all-time leader in career goals and points, Kizer finishes her career as the Rebels' first-ever two-time All-American. The Overland Park, Kansas native reeled in USC All-Region and All-SEC First Team honors three times in her career, becoming Ole Miss' first-ever recipient of the Senior CLASS Award earlier this year.
