Ole Miss to Bolster Roster with Talented Freshman Class
OXFORD, Miss. – On Thursday, Ole Miss announced its recent signing class, with nine incoming freshmen set to join the Rebels for the 2019 season.
Head coach Matt Mott and staff searched high and low to find some of the top talent in the nation, bringing in players from five different states in Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee. See below for information on each of Ole Miss' signees.
FAIN BUETE • WAKE FOREST, N.C. • WAKE FOREST
HIGH SCHOOL: A two-time letterwinner at Wake Forest High School in Wake Forest, North Carolina … Plays forward and midfielder … Earned Cap-8 All-Conference and NCHSAA All-Region honors in both 2016 and 2017.
CLUB/ODP: Played at the club level for NC Courage Academy … Selected to the regional and national pools.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time letterwinner at Sycamore High School in Sycamore, Illinois … Plays forward and midfielder … Helped lead the Spartans to the national finals in 2018 as well as four-straight state championships from 2015-18 … Entering her senior season, holds the school records for career goals (77), single-season goals (29, 2018) and single-season postseason goals (7, 2018) … a two time SHS Player of the Year (2017-18) and three-time all-conference honoree (2016-18) … Named conference MVP in 2018 … scored 25 goals with 13 assists as a freshman … tallied 23 goals and 19 assists during sophomore season … scored 29 times and added eight assists as a junior … named academic all-conference … also played basketball and tennis.
