BATON ROUGE, La. - Every road match in the SEC is tough, and LSU gave the No. 10-ranked Ole Miss women's tennis team everything they wanted Friday, but the Rebels came away with a gritty 4-2 win at the LSU Tennis Complex.

The Rebels struck first, winning the doubles point. No. 7 ranked Arianne Hartono and Alexa Bortles won 6-1 on court one. After LSU won on court two 6-2, Allie Sanford and Tereza Janatova closed out the point with a 6-2 win on court three.

Each team won three first sets in singles. Janatova gave the Rebels a 2-0 lead when she put up a double-bagel against Ashton Rabalais at No. 6 singles.

LSU answered with straight-set wins on courts four and three to tie the match at 2-2, but Hartono and Bortles finished off straight-set wins to close out the match 4-2. Hartono defeated Ryann Foster 6-4, 6-3 on court one and Bortles topped Luba Vasilyuk 7-5, 6-1 on court five.
