Rebels up to No. 6 in Latest Oracle/ITA Rankings

OXFORD, Miss. - After a big weekend at home, the Ole Miss women's tennis team moved up to No. 6 in the latest Oracle/ITA Rankings announced Tuesday. This marks 13 straight weeks for the Rebels to be ranked in the top 25.
Ole Miss is one of five SEC teams in the top 10 and seven in the top 25. Vanderbilt (2), South Carolina (7), Georgia (8), Florida (10), Auburn (20) and Kentucky (23) round out the SEC teams in the top 25.
The Rebels (17-5, 8-4) defeated then-No. 7 Georgia for the first time since 2010 and beat Tennessee last weekend for their sixth straight win.
In the latest individual rankings, senior Arianne Hartono continues her outstanding season, moving up four spots to a career-high No. 11 in singles and one spot to a career-high No. 5 in doubles with sophomore Alexa Bortles.
Hartono owns a 26-6 overall record, 17-2 at No. 1 singles and is 10-2 in the SEC. She has won six straight. In doubles, she and Bortles are 20-9 overall, 11-4 at No. 1 and 5-2 in the SEC.
Freshman Sabina Machalova moved up to No. 80 in singles with a 17-10 overall record, 4-4 in the SEC.
The Rebels travel to Starkville, Mississippi Friday for a 4 p.m., match at No. 27 Mississippi State.
