OXFORD, Miss. - Signifying that the start of the fall season is quickly approaching, Ole Miss soccer head coach Matt Mott announced the Rebels' schedule for the 2018 season on Friday.

"Our schedule is as challenging as we have had in my time here," said Mott. "Our non-conference slate has a number of NCAA tournament-caliber teams that will help prepare us for the daunting SEC schedule. We are looking forward to getting started this fall."

20 matchups in total were announced, with the Rebels set to play one exhibition in addition to the 19-match regular season slate. In total, the Rebels will play nine times at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.

Ole Miss will get the season underway Aug. 10 in an exhibition against Central Arkansas in Oxford. One week later, the Rebels welcome the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana to town to kick off the regular season on Aug. 17 before playing host to WKU two days later.

The Rebels first road test will be a tough one, travelling to Big Ten side Minnesota on Aug. 24 in Minneapolis before returning home to take on Murray State Aug. 26.

From there, Ole Miss will hit the road for a five-match streak away from home. The Rebels will meet up with Troy on Aug. 30 in a neutral site affair in Mobile, Alabama. Ole Miss will remain in Mobile for a road tilt against South Alabama, battling the Jaguars on Sept. 2. The Rebels will play two more neutral site matches the following week, facing UCONN and FAU in Fayetteville, Arkansas Sept. 7 and 9, respectively, before wrapping up the road stand against Alabama Sept. 13.

After spending two weeks on the road, Ole Miss will enjoy the comforts of home for a pair of matches Sept. 16 and 20, taking on Memphis and Tennessee. The Rebels close out the month of September with a road match at Auburn on the 23rd and a meeting with Texas A&M in Oxford on the 28th.

The October slate kicks off on the road against Missouri on the 4th before the Rebels return home to host Arkansas Oct. 7. Hitting the road for the final time, Ole Miss will face LSU on Oct. 11 and Kentucky on Oct. 18.

The Rebels conclude the 2018 season with a pair of matches in front of their home crowd. Ole Miss will look to maintain possession of the Magnolia Cup for the fifth-straight year when taking on Mississippi State on Oct. 21. Vanderbilt comes to Oxford for the regular season finale, with the match scheduled for Oct. 25.

The Rebels are looking to build off of a 2017 season that saw Ole Miss receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in five years and post one of the most prolific campaigns in program-history. Ole Miss returns the bulk of its offense from a season ago, including 50-of-54 goals and 38-of-42 assists.
