In the sixth and final of a six-part series introducing the Ole Miss soccer newcomers for the 2018 season, Friday's profile features sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Orkus.
What made you choose Ole Miss?
I chose Ole Miss because the coachingย staff is the best in the country and the teamย
chemistryย is unmatchable.ย
What do you like most about Ole Miss and Oxford?
I love the campus of Ole Miss, and I love the smallย town feel of Oxford.ย
What are you most looking forward to during your first season at Ole Miss?ย ย ย ย ย
I am looking forward to growing closeย with theย team and showing improvement over theย
course of the season.
Do you have any pregame rituals or superstitions?
I love the number four, so everythingย happens in sets of fours.
Is there anyone you try to model your game after? If so, why?
I try to model specific aspects of my game around Manual Neuer, David DeGea, and Joe Hart. Manuel Neuer plays very high off of his line and is extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet, which I admire. David DeGea is an amazing shot stopper, which I look up to. Joe Hart is very positive in training, which I also think is an integral part of goalkeeping.ย

I would love to work my way up in the accounting field. My goal is to become the CFO of a company.
