TopDrawerSoccer Names Kizer to Preseason Best XI First Team

OXFORD, Miss. โ Ole Miss senior forward/midfielder CeCe Kizer continues to rake in preseason accolades ahead of Friday's season-opener, being selected to the TopDrawerSoccer Preseason Best XI First Team Monday morning.
The Rebel attacker is one of three players named to the Best XI First Team at the forward position, joining Florida State's Deyna Castellanos and Stanford's Catarina Macario.
The honor comes just days after Kizer was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, which recognizes college soccer's most outstanding player.
Kizer is joined by four other SEC players named to one of TDS's three Best XI teams. South Carolina's Grace Fisk and Mikayla Krzeczowski and Tennessee's Katie Cousins and Khadija Shaw were also honored.
The prolific scorer is a familiar face to the TDS Best XI side. Following a 2017 season in which the Overland Park, Kansas native led the SEC with 39 points and 16 goals, while ranking fourth in the nation in both points and goals per game, Kizer was tabbed to the Best XI Second Team.
โโโโโโโKizer and the Rebels kick off the 2018 season this Friday, taking on Louisiana at 7 p.m. at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium, with a matchup against WKU following at 6 p.m. on Sunday in Oxford.
