One of Four Newcomers to the Team

OXFORD, Miss. – With the first week of classes in the books, the Ole Miss men's tennis team is excited to introduce another newcomer to the program in Croatia's No. 1 ranked junior, Karlo Kranic

In addition to being the top junior in Croatia, Kranic owns a career-high ITF World Junior Ranking of No. 123 and an ATP World Ranking of 1282. He is a two-time Croatian National Champion and has won 10 ITF Junior titles. Kranic played for the Croatian National Team and also competed in the European Championships.

Kranic is an outstanding student, earning Best in Class (equivalent to valedictorian in the United States) every year.

"We are thrilled to have Karlo join us this fall and I know he's excited to be part of the program as well," head coach Toby Hansson said. "He has a lot of international experience having played successfully on the ITF circuit. It's very impressive that he has been able to compete at a high level all over the world and at the same time be an outstanding student.

"Karlo is a very athletic player who has tremendous speed on the court and can win points in multiple different ways. On top of that, he's a tough competitor and has a unique ability to close out matches."
