Rebels Send Full Squad to All-American Championships

OXFORD, Miss. –The first national event of the season for collegiate tennis begins this weekend, and Ole Miss will send a full men's team into competition at the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
For the 14thstraight season, the University of Tulsa will host the event, with matches taking place on the courts of the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Qualifying singles and doubles will be held on October 1-2, with main draw matches transpiring between October 4-8.
In addition to vying for the All-American title, the Rebels will each be competing to secure a berth into the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, taking place Nov. 7-11 in Surprise, Ariz. Single quarterfinalists, consolation singles champion and finalist, along with doubles semifinalists and consolation doubles champion and finalist advance to the end of the fall national championship.
WHO'S SWINGING
The Rebels send a full squadron to Tulsa, with junior Tim Sandkaulen and senior Filip Kraljevic each earning a position in the singles main draw. Sandkaulen carries a No. 15 national ranking, and the duo ranks at No. 37 in doubles, according to the latest ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) release.
The other seven Rebels will also compete in the prequalifying singles draw, with Sandkaulen/Kraljevic and the pair of No. 43 Fabian Fallert/Finn Reynolds joining them in the qualifying doubles draw.
