Reynolds Advances at ITA All-American Qualifying

TULSA, Okla. -- Sophomore Finn Reynolds had a successful weekend on the courts for Ole Miss men's tennis at the Saint Francis Health Systems ITA All-American Championships, advancing through the first three pre-qualifying rounds at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa.
Reynolds defeated Florida's Brian Berdusco in the opening round battling back from 2-6 to win 6-4 6-0. He then took down Eddy Leardini (Oral Roberts) 6-2 6-2 Sunday. Classmate Cotter Wilson was also successful in the first round of play, cruising to victory with 6-2 6-2 marks over Nevada's Kostya Nesteranko. Wilson fell in the round of 64 Sunday, dropping a 6-1, 7-5 decision to Vilhelm Fridell (Buffalo).
Freshman Simon Junk picked up a consolation win Sunday, defeating Amaud Restifo (San Diego State) in a grueling 2-6, 7-6(4), 10-7 battle.
Doubles action begins Monday, led by No. 37 Tim Sandkaulen/Filip Kraljevic who will take to the court at 1:30 p.m, facing Oklahoma State's Artur Dubinski and Maxim Tybar. Also competing will be the rookie duo of JanSoren Hain/Karlo Kranic, Wilson and Junk, and Reynolds will pair up with senior Fabian Fallert to carry a No. 43 doubles ranking into competition.
