JULIA JONES, 2015
Julia Jones became the 11th All-American in the history of the program in 2015. As a senior, she helped lead the Rebels to their seventh consecutive NCAA appearance and helped Ole Miss rank inside the top 25 all season. Jones finished the year ranked No. 10 in the nation in singles and No. 65 in doubles. She was seeded 9-16 in the NCAA Singles Championship. Additional honors included being named to the All-SEC First Team, the ITA National Most Improved Player of the Year and the ITA Southern Region Senior of the Year. Jones became the seventh player in program history to record 100 wins in her career. In the fall of 2014, Jones captured the USTA/ITA Southern Regional singles title. Jones was a huge part of the Rebels' success during her four-year career, earning All-SEC honors three times and helping Ole Miss earn an NCAA berth all four years.
Off the court, Jones was an outstanding student-athlete, earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors and SEC Academic Honor Roll status all four years. She graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi in May of 2015 with a degree in accountancy. She spent the 2018 season as a volunteer coach with the Rebels.
ALEXA BORTLES, 2018
Teaming up with eventual NCAA National Champion and two-time All-American Arianne Hartono, Bortles earned All- American honors in doubles after earning a 5-8 seed in the NCAA Individual Championships. The pair reached the Round of 16 after grinding out a 7-6 (4), 6-0 victory over Fresno State. The pair fell to eventual National Champions (LSU's Eden Richardson and Jessica Golovin) in the Sweet Sixteen after a grueling tiebreaker. Bortles and Hartono finished the season ranked No. 7, earning All-SEC honors. The pair went 23-13 and 11-7 versus nationally ranked competition.
Alexa is currently a senior on the 2019-20 Rebels squad, and boast a No. 17 ranking in doubles with junior Sabina Machalova.
