Rebels Sign Tennessee Standout
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women's golf head coach Kory Henkes announced the signing of McKinley Cunningham to the Rebel golf program on Wednesday.
Cunningham will come to Oxford from Clarksville, Tennessee, where she attends Clarksville High School.
"We are so excited to welcome McKinley to the Ole Miss family," Henkes said. "She is a fierce competitor who will give us her all each and every day. McKinley has a drive to succeed that will allow her to be an impact player as soon as she sets foot on campus. Her sound fundamentals and great ball-striking will help her be successful at the collegiate level. We look forward to McKinley's career as a Rebel."
Cunningham is the No. 2 ranked recruit out of the state of Tennessee in the 2020 class according to Junior Golf Scoreboard. This past summer, she led the Sneds Tour Elite Series points list with two wins in her home state.
She tied for sixth in the 2019 Tennessee Women's Amateur, highlighted by a second round 68, the second-lowest round in the field. Cunningham qualified for the U.S. Girls Junior in 2018 and the Tennessee Junior Cup in both 2018 and 2019. She won the Craig Rudolph Memorial Tournament in her hometown, and finished top-five at the Scott Stallings Junior Championship in June thanks to a final round 68.
