Women’s Golf Signs Smilla Sonderby For Fall 2020

Rebels Sign Danish Standout
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women's golf head coach Kory Henkes announced the signing of Smilla Sonderby to the Rebel golf program.
Sonderby will come to Oxford from Fredericia, Denmark, where she attends Herningsholm Erhvervsskole.
"Smilla brings a lot of international experience to our team," Henkes said. "She has competed at a high level and participated on the Danish National Team over the past few years. Smilla has the right skill-set and work ethic to be a top-notch performer for the Rebels. We look forward to getting her on campus next fall."
Sonderby joined the Danish Girls' National Team in 2017, competing in two European Girls' Team Championships and one European Nations' Cup. She was selected to the Danish Ladies' National Team this year.
This past summer, she put together three individual wins at the Cobra-Puma Skanderborg Open, the Bravo Tours Masters, and the DGU Elite Tour Finale all in her home country. In the last two years, she has 17 top-10 finishes in 32 events.
Sonderby will join McKinley Cunningham in the Rebels' signing class for Fall 2020.
