Junior Striker Named Second Team All-Southeast Region by the United Soccer Coaches
OXFORD, Miss. – On Tuesday, Ole Miss' Channing Foster was named Second Team All-Southeast Region by the United Soccer Coaches, recognizing the junior striker for her prolific 2019 campaign.
It is the second all-region laurel for the Murray, Kentucky native, who was selected third team all-region following her sophomore season in 2018. It is the third straight year and seventh time in the Matt Mott era that Ole Miss has had at least one all region honoree.
A First Team All-SEC forward, Foster ranked fifth in the conference with 10 goals during the regular season, adding in three assists as well. The Graves County High School product has found the back of the net 10 times during her first three years in a Rebel kit, tying for seventh all-time in school history.
Foster is the eight Rebel to be named United Soccer Coaches All-Region multiple times and can become just the fourth player in program history to earn to distinction three times in a career in 2020.
