For the second straight week, Ole Miss upset the No. 12 ranked and top-seeded Florida Gators.

Freshman Macy Somoskey sealed it for the Rebels on hole 19 to earn a spot in the semifinals of match play against Georgia.

It all came down to Somoskey's match against Marta Perez, who finished runner-up in the stroke play portion of the conference championship. The two went back-and-forth all morning.

The pair made the turn all square, before Perez took a one-hole lead on No. 11. The very next hole saw Somoskey tie the match thanks to a long putt on No. 12, the hardest hole on the course throughout the week statistically.

Perez grabbed back a one-hole lead on No. 14 and it stuck until the 16th when Somoskey tied it up again. The last two holes weren't enough to decide the match as the two headed for a playoff.

Somoskey drove the ball into the bunker, but the sand was no problem for the freshman, as she stuck it to four feet and sank the putt clinching the match for Ole Miss.

Kennedy Swann got the first victory for Ole Miss, winning 4-and-2 against Elin Elborn, ranked No. 63 in Golfstat's player rankings.

Swann took a two-hole lead into the back nine and never gave it up, staying steady on the toughest holes on the course and eventually winning it on the 16th green to get Ole Miss on the board.

After going undefeated in match play last week in Georgia, Julia Johnson kept up her dominance defeating Addie Baggarly 2-up in her first match.

Johnson took a two-hole lead at the turn into the back and stretched her lead to three thanks to a 25-footer on No. 12 that found the bottom of the cup.

The final stretch of holes proved interesting, as Baggarly closed the gap to one stroke after winning on No. 15 and 16.

However, the sophomore Johnson wrapped it up with a par on 18 to get the win and the second win for the Rebels on the day.

Johnson improved to 4-0 in match play this season.

semifinals - ole miss vs. Georgia

The Rebels battled the No. 5 seed Georgia in the afternoon and ultimately, into the night on Saturday.

Play was suspended late into the match against Georgia due to darkness, forcing the two teams to resume play at 7 a.m. Sunday morning from holes No. 17 and 18.

With three matches final, Ole Miss currently leads 2-1 with a pair of matches still to play.

Macy Somoskey is all square with one hole to play against Rinko Mitsunaga, while Conner Beth Ball is 2-down to Jo Hua Hung Hung with two holes to go.

Swann got the first victory for Ole Miss once again, defeating Gabriela Coelli 3-and-1. Swann won the first hole before dropping the second, but gained an advantage on the third and took the lead all the way to the 17th when a birdie would seal the deal and put the Rebels up 1-0.

Julia Johnson defeated Harmie Constantino 5-and-3 to get Ole Miss to 2-0. Constantino got off to an early lead after No. 1, but Johnson didn't waver and evened it up on the par-3 No. 7.

She caught fire, winning the next three holes and taking the lead to the final stretch and capping off the second win of the day after hole 15.

Ellen Hutchinson-Kay's match needed more than 18 holes to decide the winner, with Georgia's Jenny Bae prevailing on the third playoff hole to get the Bulldog's their first points of the day.
