Women’s Tennis Welcomes Three for Fall 2019

Talents from France, Czech Republic and a Kentucky transfer join the Rebels
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss Women's Tennis revealed its 2023 signing class, welcoming talents from Prague, Czech Republic and France to complete their 2019-20 roster. Head Coach Mark Beyers officially announced the roster in late May.
No stranger to the competitive play of the Southeastern Conference is Nice, France native Tiphanie Fiquet, a transfer who spent her freshman campaign in Lexington at the University of Kentucky, where she earned SEC Freshman of the Week plaudits on three separate occasions and finished the spring with a 15-7 record.
Fiquet was a member of the French national team for the Under 14 European Cup, and has been a finalist in the French National Championships 14 different years. Fiquet carries an ITF Pro Ranking of 454.
Also hailing from France is Victoire de Samucewicz, ranked 2ndin the country for U18s. de Samucewicz claimed a CNGT Tournament championship, beating two Top 35 ranked players en route to the title.
Aneta Laboutkova, a product from Prague, Czech Republic, owns a current ITF World Tennis Singles ranking of 307 as well as a No. 56 mark for doubles.
Laboutkova is fresh off an ITF victory, claiming the singles W15 Gothenburg. In addition, she secured two junior doubles titles at Telde, Spain in 2018 and Brno, Czech Republic in 2016.
Laboutkova will be one of four Rebels from the Czech Republic, including upcoming seniors Tereza Janatova (Nova Paka) and Anna Vrbenska (Podebrady), and incoming junior Sabina Machalova (Zlin).
