Hermansson, Pair of Freshmen Earn Academic Honor

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Ole Miss women's golf's Pi-Lillebi Hermansson, Ellen Hutchinson-Kay and Macy Somoskey have been named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), the organization recently announced.

The trio of Rebels were three of 1,097 collegiate women's golfers recognized with the honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the strictest in all of college athletics, starting with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.

This makes eight selections in four years for head coach Kory Henkes' Rebels.

Hermansson has been named an All-American Scholar all three years she has been at Ole Miss. The rising senior was recently named to the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll for the third straight season. A double major in psychology and French, Hermansson has earned a spot on the Chancellor's Honor Roll all six semesters as a Rebel.

Hutchinson-Kay and Somoskey each were named an All-American Scholar in their first season at Ole Miss, as well as being tabbed to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll. The rising sophomores each played a vital role in the spring season, one in which the Rebels made it to their second NCAA Championships in as many years.
