Sandkaulen and Engelhardt Head to Cajun Tennis Classic

OXFORD, Miss. – Fresh off strong 2019 fall debuts and an appearance in the ITA Preseason Rankings, the Ole Miss Men's Tennis duo of senior Tim Sandkaulen and freshman Lukas Engelhardt return to the court this weekend, participating in the 2019 John Breaux Cajun Tennis Classic, held in Lafayette, La., and hosted by the University of Louisiana.

Entering the weekend with a No. 25 national ranking in singles, Sandkaulen will carry the top seed into the men's singles draw. His weekend begins by facing junior Conrad Russell of Rice Friday at 8:30 a.m. CT.

Engelhardt, a product of Augsburg, Germany, will also face off at 8:30 a.m. Friday, taking on Baylor's Constantin Frantzen, also of Augsburg.

The pair also boasts the top seed in doubles and carry a No. 52 ITA ranking. They'll face off against home court products of Ragin' Cajuns Kacper Dworak and Pearse Dolan. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday evening.
