Men’s Tennis Prevails in Doubles at Day One of Bulldog Challenge

Rebels Win Both Doubles Matches
STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Ole Miss Rebels won three matches, including both doubles contests, in day one of competition at the 2020 Bulldog Challenge on Friday.
Ole Miss claimed two victories against LSU, and one against Tennessee. The Rebels also faced the Alabama Crimson Tide for the second consecutive event. All four Ole Miss student-athletes won their opening match of the tournament. By amassing two doubles wins, Ole Miss improved to 6-2 on the season.
In their first time partnering this season, Jan Soren Hain and Tim Sandkaulen defeated the Tigers' Boris Kozlov and Nick Watson, 8-1, to improve to 301 in doubles this fall. Against Tennessee in doubles, Brady Draheim and Cotter Wilson defeated Martim Prata and Luca Wiedenmann, 8-6. Draheim and Wilson secured the victory by breaking the Volunteers' serve at 7-6, 40-all, no-ad.
In straight-sets, Sandkaulen beat LSU's Ronald Hohmann 7-6 (4), 6-4, the No. 1 ranked U.S. high school player in the class of 2019. Sandkaulen improved to 3-1 this season is singles competition.
